The first estimate is often written before anything is taken apart. Here’s what hidden damage is and how an insurance supplement works.
Can my insurance company make me use their repair shop?
No. In Texas, your insurance company can’t require you to use a particular repair shop (Texas Insurance Code §1952.301). You can choose Patagonia Garage.
Can you handle the insurance claim for me?
Absolutely. We negotiate directly with your insurance carrier, often resulting in zero out-of-pocket costs for our customers. Bring your claim number and your insurance company’s information.
What if my car has hidden damage?
It happens often once a bumper or panel comes off. We photograph what we find and send it to your insurance company as a supplement, so the added repair is reviewed before we continue.
Do I have to file an insurance claim?
No. For smaller repairs, paying yourself can cost less than your deductible plus a possible premium increase. Ask for the written price first and decide with the numbers.
